PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Wildcats participated in four events throughout the day at the Murphy Cup in Philadelphia competing against other Northeastern schools. The Wildcats brought home two 3rd and two 4th place finishes in their events.

In the Novice 8+ junior Sara Furlong (Peabody, Mass.) along with freshmen Kate Traynor (Fairfield, Conn.), Melissa Nicholson (Kentfield, Calif.), Allison Telleri (Clark, N.J.), Carine D'Angelo, Jacqueline Bloch (Bethpage, N.Y.), Jessica Coelho (Chester, N.J.), Anne Marie Kearing (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Caitlin Cotter (Abington, Mass.) finished third in their heat.

The Novice 4+ boat consisted of Frulong, D'angelo and Coelho along with Kristen Panny and Alexandra Pugliese. The Wildcats finished fourth in their heat, less than four seconds behind Sacred Heart.

In the JV 8+ the Wildcats finished in third place in their heat. The boat with Furlong, Traynor, Nicholson, Telleri, juniors Katie Dowd (Lancaster, Pa.) Caitlin Rodriguez (Flushing, N.Y.) Lauren Anderson (Monmouth Beach, N.J.) and sophomores Laura Collins (Bethlehem, Pa.) and Ashley Flanders (Madison, Conn.) had a time of 7:19.64.

The Wildcats finished in third place in the Varsity 8+ DI third heat. They held off fourth place Stetson finishing almost 20 seconds ahead of them with a time of 7:03.55. Seniors Katie Barzelatto (Tenafly, N.J.) Kathleen O'Connell (Medford, N.J.) Marissa Miraval (Fairfield, Conn.) juniors Caitlin DeBarbrie (San Francisco, Calif.) Kaitlyn Moss (Reisterstown, Md.) and sophomores Katie Grasing (Baldwin, N.Y.) Jill Pietropaolo (New City, N.Y.) Carrie Bennett (Fairport, N.Y.) and Brianna Ipjian (Harrisburg, Pa.) were in the boat for Villanova.
